Red Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis Niloticus) is the most commonly cultivated species of tilapia raised worldwide. There are many reasons why this is the world's most popular strain. This commercial strain is fast growing, hardy and very resilient to adverse water conditions and disease. They can be raised in fresh or full salt water. The perfect fish to be raised along with shrimp in recirculating aquaculture. These fish can be commonly found in the live Asian fish market and can be served whole or as a tasty fillet.

Our Black Nile Tilapia

Black Nile Tilapia (Oreochromis Niloticus) also known as Natural Nile, is the fastest growing commercial strain, that is hardy, disease resistant and has an excellent fillet yield. These fish can be commonly found in both the fresh and frozen fillet market. Some ethnic markets prefer Black Nile Tilapia whole on ice.
